Expect new characters to emerge when "Rick and Morty" begins its third season on Adult Swim this December.

The news comes straight from show creator Dan Harmon, who said that fans of the show will be introduced to more characters who they will root for. However, he warned that there will be some changes in the feel from the previous two seasons.

Among the characters expected is Mrs. Sanchez, who is Rick's ex-wife. However, she will be the harbinger for the arrival of the evil Morty. They won't be the only characters arriving but the revelation would have to wait until December nears, News Everyday reported.

It is expected that Mrs. Sanchez will bring more trouble when she arrives so viewers need to brace themselves for the turmoil that she will inject into the show.

Harmon shared that fans who are worried about the closure for some of the storylines should not fret as they are planning to resolve pending issues from the last season. It is expected that when the show returns, Morty will bust out Rick from prison after he was incarcerated in the last episode.

As for the changes on the approach, a report by Game n Guide cited Harmon's confirmation that season 3 will not be exploring the use of the interdimensional cable like it did in the past season. Writers have also confirmed that the scripts are already done and ready to go for production a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, a popular YouTuber has created his own version of "Rick and Morty" episodes. The YouTuber reportedly made his own version of the episode "Look Who's Purging Now" which is growing increasingly more popular on the internet.

The YouTuber has previously done his versions of "Fallout 4," "The Walking Dead" and "Breaking Bad."

While a December target has been announced, no official release date has been set.
