Fans of Fox's action drama series "Prison Break" got their wish when the network announced that it will continue with a fifth season. They were even more stoked to find out that fan favorite Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) will be returning to the series after he was killed off in the last episode of the show to save his love interest Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies).

Based on early promos and videos released by Fox, while Michael did not die he's in pretty bad shape behind bars in a Yemeni prison.

"I can tell you it's seven years later, and you can expect a lot more of the same things that you loved the first time around. And it will also be quite different as the characters have changed, so my character, in particular, is no longer just a hero – he's a few other things as well. I think the fans will get a kick out of it," said Miller in an interview.

While he did not delve into much detail, the plot of the new season revolves around another attempt to break out of prison.

However, this time, Michael's brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) will be getting roped into a complicated and dangerous mission to save his little brother.

There have actually been theories that Lincoln will not survive the dangerous mission to save Michael, but this remains to be seen as the brothers have evaded more dangerous scrapes after four seasons on air. More than the action, the dramatic elements also promise to be moving as a scene in episode 8 will make them "weep together."

Meanwhile, fans are also eagerly awaiting what will become of the reunion between Michael and Sara. Avid fans of "Prison Break" are also looking forward to the reunion between Michael and his son.

It has earlier been reported that when the series picks up, Sara will be married to a new character played by "Royal Pains" alum Mark Feuerstein.
