The much-awaited return of actor Brant Daugherty is soon to happen in the new season, Business Standard reports. This returning character is still being kept under wraps, and nobody knows yet whether Noel Kahn will now become an antagonist, a protagonist, or just a side character who is to show up for only a few episodes. Variety ponders on this, since nobody even knows how many epsiodes he will appear in, and the seventh season is still being written.
The actor first appeared with a prominent role in the debut seasons of the "Pretty Little Liars" series as Noel Kahn, mentions E! Online. The news that he was returning was made available on the internet after the actor took to Twitter to share the good news with his fans. Showrunner Marlene King recently posted a photo to reveal Daugherty at a table-read. Daugherty then put up a warning on Twitter: "There's a storm coming," his tweet read. "Prepare yourselves."
Entertainment Weekly reported that showrunner Marlene King has already promised the seventh season to have "the most romantic" plotline seen so far, and that this will be the "season of homecomings" for various members of its cast. Many fans are more excited about the various other characters they missed -- there will be a time jump, and they can expect "a lot of old face that will feel like new faces when we see them again". There are also other new characters to appear in Rosewood, with Nicholas Gonzales joining its cast as a fresh new detective rolling into town.
The new season of "Pretty Little Liars" will return to the screen on Tuesday, June 21. It will premiere around 8 p.m. ET on Freeform.
