The latest set of free games will be going live today, Oct. 4, for paying members of Sony's PlayStation Plus program.

Those who didn't have the chance to get and play last month's list of free games now just have several hours left to download them until they are replaced with the October 2016 PlayStation Plus free games list. The new set of games for this month certainly looks like an interesting bunch. One game in particular highlights the program's Halloween theme.

For those who were not able to play last month's free games, the September 2016 PlayStation Plus free games included "Lords of the Fallen," "Journey," "Badland: Game of the Year Edition," "Datura," "Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands," and "Amnesia: Memories." All of the games will officially be taken down from the PlayStation Store today and will be replaced with the new set of free games for PlayStation Plus members.

In the spirit of Halloween, Sony will be offering the HD remake of the original "Resident Evil" video game for PlayStation 4 owners. The game is in a way also a promotion for the upcoming "Resident Evil 7" video game, as well as a celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the franchise. The game will be taking players to the very beginning of the entire story as well as to get them reacquainted with the remastered versions of the franchise's original characters Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine.

Also for the PlayStation 4 is "Transformers: Devastation" developed by Platinum Games.

PlayStation 3 players, on the other hand, will be getting two titles: namely "Mad Riders" and "From Dust."

Those on the PlayStation Vita will be getting two titles for free as well, namely "Code: Realize Guardian of Rebirth" and "Actual Sunlight."

All of the games will be free to download and play for the entire month of October for active members of Sony's PlayStation Plus program.
