Fast and Furious 7 has finally resumed filming, three months after the tragic death of Paul walker.

The cast and crew of the Fast and Furious team will be heading to Atlanta to film the remaining scenes for the upcoming movie.

Atlanta-based 11Alive has confirmed that notice of the production has been given to businesses downtown which will involve special effects and lane closures. "The work will include automotive stunts, simulated combat, and special effects," the notice stated.

The production in downtown Atlanta will take place March 16 - 22.

The production of Fast and Furious 7 was stalled after the actor's sudden death in November 2013. The late actor was on a brief hiatus from filming during the Thanksgiving holiday period and was hosting an event for his charity Reach Out WorldWide when he decided to go for a quick drive in his Porsche Carerra GT. The driver, Roger Rodas, lost control of the car before it crashed into a tree and a pole and burst into flames.

It is not clear what will happen to Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner character in the series. Reports state that rather than being killed off, O'Conner will be retiring.

The late actor had also completed three other films outside of the F&F franchise series at the time of his death. He starred in "Hours" where he played a father struggling to keep his infant daughter alive in an abandoned hospital at the time of Hurricane Katrina.

He also completed filming "Pawn Shop Chronicles" and "Brick Mansions," where he plays an undercover cop trying to track down a crime lord.
