'Overwatch' updates: Game still waiting for new hero Sombra

Reaper from "Overwatch" Battle Net

The search for the "Overwatch" hero Sombra is still ongoing, and a lot of players are still trying to solve the game's alternate reality game (ARG). However, it seems that recently, there have been some technical glitches that led to the discovery of some information related to the hero.

According to the iTechPost, players were pretty much disappointed after the counter for the amomentincrime.com hit 100 percent and nothing happened. As such, a lot of players were led to believe that Blizzard is just prolonging the game for the hype, but it seems that the counter did yield something after all, as a glitch was discovered in the game that might be related to the hero.

Basically, in the "Overwatch" Hero gallery, the glitch has changed the items a hero is currently in their possession. However, it is quite easy to miss the glitch, since players are required to click on the Hero Gallery option as soon as they start connecting at the start button screen.

Once they do, they will see that some of the items the Heroes are holding will have changed. For example, D.va had her items changed from 63 to 66, while Mercy's items got changed from 64 to 68.

That might not be a direct link for the hero, but it seems that it does tell of the hacker Sombra's presence in general. As such, it could be possible that the changing code might yet be another piece of clue that will lead to Sombra once cracked.

Meanwhile, Game Rant reports that the the latest updates for the game did not mention Sombra, despite the length of the post. This is despite the long months of gamers playing the game's ARG, Blizzard has yet to give anything more substantial for the character, like a release date or even her abilities, much to the frustration of various players.
