"The Outlander" has reportedly finished filming for the epic scenes for the Battle of Culloden, and it promises to deliver on fans' expectations.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Ronald D. Moore said fans will be happy to note that they will be changing the opening scene of "Voyager" — the third book of Diana Gabaldon's book series — to include battle scenes that will to cater to the fans' expectations.

"It just felt like for the TV show, we've been promising this for a while and it just felt like we should have something. We should give the audience some sense of what happened on that moor," he said.

Aside from the Battle of Culloden, fans should be right to expect the meeting of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and his daughter Brianna. While the series is expected to delve into what happened during Sam and Claire's (Caitriona Balfe) separation and how Jamie survived the battle including his faceoff with his nemesis Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies), it is also expected that the series will tackle Claire's side of the story, mainly about how she travelled through time to save her daughter, her storyline with present time husband Frank and how he dies, and eventually, her much awaited reunion with her love Jamie, who has suffered through loneliness with Claire gone, reported Sportsrageous.

Meanwhile, with the impending reunion of Jamie and Claire in the series, Moore promised that there will be a lot of sexy scenes between the couple in season 3.

With dating rumors surrounding the actors, there have also been reports that the on-screen couple are also enjoying their bed scenes together. It has also been noticeable that both actors are also sporting fitter physiques in preparation for their romantic scenes. However, rumors of them dating remain unconfirmed.

While Starz has yet to announce the official air date for season 3, an "Outlander" companion book called "The Making of Outlander The Series: The Official Guide to Seasons One & Two" has been released to tide fans over for the meantime.
