"Outlander" season 3 is expected to return to the television screens after a one week break, but it will surely be worth the wait. The network promised an extended runtime for the upcoming episode "Outlander" in honor of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire's (Caitriona Balfe) long-awaited reunion.
The end of episode 5 offered a quick look at the couple's reunion — with the time-traveler's appearance in her husband's Edinburg print shop, sending him crashing to the ground in a dead faint just as the installment faded to black. A promo for the sixth episode, "A. Malcolm," offered a glimpse of the steamy scene that is about to happen.
The 30-second clip features the pair preparing to share the bed together for the first time in 20 years. Given that they have spent a good chunk of the third season separated by centuries, fans are not the only ones looking forward to that most-awaited print shop reunion set to happen in episode 6.
Moreover, the trailer shared the synopsis for the next installment stating, "After decades apart, Jamie and Claire finally reunite and rekindle their emotional and physical bonds. But Jamie's new business dealings jeopardize the couples' hopes for a simple life together."
According to Entertainment Weekly, the time-travel drama will have an extended episode 6 — which will air for 74 minutes instead of the standard hour.
Not only that, the network will air a mini "Outlander" marathon featuring the first five episodes of the third season on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 5 p.m. ETD on Starz. It will give everyone a perfect chance to relive some of the moments and catch up any episodes they might have missed before witnessing the highly-anticipated reunion.
Aside from the trailer, Starz also released a steamy new photo of Jamie and Claire in bed together. The Facebook post was captioned with, "They waited a lifetime for this moment."
So while everyone waits for the "Outlander" season 3 episode 6 to air on Sunday, Oct. 22, at 8 p.m. ETD on Starz, they can enjoy the latest trailer and the new photos.
