Rumors surrounding the next flagship smartphone of OnePlus are slowly getting more solid, as the company announces that there will be an upcoming press event before the month ends.

According to a post on the official Twitter account of the China-based company, OnePlus will be having an event on Oct. 29, tagged as the #PowerfullyBeautiful event. OnePlus also posted that the event will be happening in London.

Meanwhile, Gadgets 360 by NDTV reported that aside from London, simultaneous press events will also be launched by OnePlus in key cities around the world. Listed locations include Beijing, India, and Jakarta, among others. Attendees for the event in China can reserve their seats by visiting the company's Chinese website. The Beijing event is set to start on 4:30 p.m. local time, at the Beijing Jing Park Art Center.

Although the company has not made any comments on what the event will be all about, industry observers like TechCrunch are saying that the event will pave the way for the next company flagship.

The image accompanying the post has two fluorescent lights converging, forming an "X." If the speculations about revealing a new product were true, then the image seems to indicate the upcoming OnePlus X.

Recently, rumors about the upcoming OnePlus iteration have seemingly been confirmed. Reports from industry followers such as The Verge indicated that documentations from FCC and Chinese organization TENAA have mentioned a new OnePlus smartphone coming out soon.

The upcoming device is said to feature a 5-inch IPS touchscreen with full HD resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood, it is rumored that the OnePlus X will run on a MediaTek chipset, a first for a OnePlus smartphone. The MediaTek Helio X10 processor will be partnered with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. In addition, the upcoming OnePlus device will feature USB Type-C connectivity and 2,450-mAh battery.
