OnePlus One specs: issues and problems continue

When the OnePlus One was launched last year, it was touted as a flagship killer, promising to deliver premium specs without the high price. Most of its current users find that the device lives up to its hype. However, there are others who experience numerous issues plaguing their OnePlus One.

According to some users, issues and glitches on their OnePlus One devices range from connectivity concerns to random reboots. However, it seems that most of the users have one complaint in common — an unresponsive touchscreen.

Quite a few people are flocking into threads and forums, looking for a solution to the glitch. The display for the device, more often than not, does not register touches, and then there are also "ghost touches," wherein the device seems to work on its own and records touch controls that were not made.

To keep its user base happy and satisfied, OnePlus came out with a fix update for the One phone back in February. However, while it fixed most issues prevalent to the device, it didn't address the touchscreen glitch.

OnePlus is promising to deliver another fix in the near future. According to the company's official blog, there will be a final firmware fix to improve touchscreen performance. There are still no details on when the firmware update would be released, or if the update will port the One's Cyanogen-based OS into the company's newly-released, native Oxygen OS platform.

OnePlus recommends that users regularly check for over the air updates by accessing the Settings tab on their phones.

Meanwhile, some users found a workaround to the touchscreen issue by rebooting the device, especially if the phone seems to freeze. Also, OnePlus One owners found out that the lag and decreased response from the touchscreen display is due to the theme they are currently using.
