OnePlus 4 release date, specs rumors: Snapdragon 830 and 8GB RAM among new flagship's specs?

OnePlus 3's successor is said to carry a Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 and paired with an 8 GB of RAM. OnePlus

It is heavily speculated that the upcoming OnePlus 4 will be packed to the brim, and it can take on every flagship phone that has been released. It is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor paired with 8 GB of RAM.

OnePlus is speculated to release another premium phone, which is said to carry the yet-to-be-announced processor. The octa-core Snapdragon 830 is rumored to be manufactured using the 10 nm FinFET process, and it is said to be capable of supporting up to 8 GB of RAM. It is also expected to have 2.6 GHz clock speed and an Adreno 540 GPU running at 800 MHz. With this in mind, the company must be planning to outdo its previous model, the OnePlus 3, which already contains 6 GB of RAM.

It is also speculated that the upcoming phone will still have a 64 GB internal storage, although it will now include a microSD slot that will increase its storage capacity up to 256 GB. It is also rumored that an upgrade will also happen in its imaging department. A 23-megapixel main camera will be replacing the previous 16-megapizel one, Android Headlines previously reported.

Since it is too early, nothing is mentioned about its screen size, screen resolution, and battery capacity. However, the previous model contains a 5.5-inch AMOLED display screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution and 401 ppi pixel density. It also has a fingerprint security scanner, NFC support, and dual-band WiFi adaptor. A USB Type-C 1.0 reversible connector and fast battery charging capability for its non-removable 3,000 mAh battery were also said to be included.

Price wise, the One Plus 4 is speculated to have a $400 tag price, similar to the previous model. It is expected to be announced sometime in April or May next year.

Just for comparison, the Galaxy Samsung S7 offers a 5.1-inch display with 1440 x 2560 screen resolution with 577 ppi pixel density. It contains a Snapdragon 820 running at 2.15 GHz, 4 GB of RAM and 32/64 GB internal storage. Its storage is expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD card and is around $650.
