Despite the worries that it will be delayed to 2017, "One Punch Man" season 2 will premiere this year, at least according to the latest reports.

It is being reported that Saitama will be back for "One Punch Man" season 2 this October since artist Yusuke Murata is now all focused on the anime.

Reports say that the artist's schedule has been a little hectic in the past months. Add to that the heaps of work he has to do for "One Punch Man" season 2.

Murata has an upcoming manga series called "Manga Artist's Late-Night Snack Laboratory," which follows manga artists like him and their love for midnight-snacking.

This new manga series will begin in next week's issue of Kodansha's Weekly Morning manga magazine. It is unclear how long the series will go on but fans are excited about Murata's new project.

Even with a new manga series coming up, Murata is reportedly more focused on "One Punch Man" season 2 at the moment, which should make the October premiere possible.

It is highly likely since the first season of the hit anime aired October last year. Towards the end of that run, Murata allegedly began his work on "One Punch Man" season 2 since he knows he has a lot to do in the anime.

"One Punch Man" season 2 is expected to feature one of Saitama's strongest enemies Garou, who is the only person known to resist Saitama's killer punch.

Another villain Saitama will take on in the new season is Amai Mask, who is hell-bent in revenge. Lord Boros is reportedly returning to settle scores as well.

More details about "One Punch Man" season 2 are expected to be revealed during the Anime Expo 2016 seeing that Saitama's voice actor Makoto Furukawa and "One Punch Man" animation director Shingo Natsume will be there.

A "One Punch Man" festival will be held at the event on its second day, which is July 2, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
