The Nokia N1 Tablet is something that had initially been made available only in China and there was no clear indication on whether the said device would eventually be made available in other regions.
However, the Nokia N1 Tablet may soon spread through Asia after it was launched recently in Taiwan. It remains to be seen where it would next be made available but hopefully it can go as far as North America or Europe. That could all depend on how the tablet would be received in Asia first before expanding to a wider niche.
The Nokia N1 Tablet made its debut and was offered at roughly $268 after conversion from Taiwan currency.
The tablet, Nokia's first ever Android-powered tablet, is seen as the Finnish company's recourse after announcing that they will no longer be manufacturing smartphones – a condition it had to satisfy in connection with their deal with Microsoft at least for the next couple of years.
The Nokia N1 Tablet promises to be an interesting device to check out, something that will be powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
For those who are not yet familiar with what the Nokia N1 carries, the tablet will feature a 7.9-inch display (2048x1536 resolution) IPS LED-backlit and powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor (2.3 GHz). This will be backed by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
It will have an 8MP main back camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The N1 tablet will also boast of the Z launcher and will come encased in a 6.9 mm thin frame. Providing juice to the tablet is a 5,300 mAh battery.
With regards to its connectivity options, the Nokia N1 tablet carries the usual Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/n/ac with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB with reversible Type-C connector.
