Nexus 6 discounts on eBay, Amazon

Android fans who want to switch to Google's Nexus lineup of smartphones can grab a Nexus 6 for as low as $300 this week.

The deal, spotted by industry observers such as Phandroid almost a week ago, expired as soon as it was put up as units quickly sold out. However, it seems that in anticipation of Google's big reveal next week, which will reportedly include at least two new Nexus phones, online retailers have slashed the prices of their Nexus 6 anew.

According to the international page list of the Motorola Nexus 6 on eBay, the XT1103 handset is available for $299.99 in Midnight Blue/ 32 GB variant, with free shipping for customers in the United States. Interested parties may also check out the listing since the Nexus 6 units currently on sale are unlocked and will work with most carriers.

The same variant is also available on Amazon, but with a much higher price tag, at $349.99. The price on the online retailer's website is still much lower compared to the $600 original price of the Motorola Nexus 6. It now currently retails for around $500 without discount.

The deals from both Amazon and eBay are expected to last until early next week. However, given that observers like Pocketnow report that around 1,000 units have already been sold in the last 24 hours, the deals will probably end much earlier than expected.

The Nexus 6 is Motorola's first foray into making a Nexus device. The smartphone was announced and released late last year and came with a 5.96-inch AMOLED screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with 3 GB of RAM, a 13 MP main camera with optical image stabilization feature, and 3220 mAh battery.
