'NCIS: Los Angeles' season 8 spoilers: Deeks working on another proposal; mole arc not finished yet

Eric Christian Olsen as Marty Deeks CBS

Based on the latest episode, things seemed bleak for the couple despite the positive signs that Kensi (Daniela Ruah) displayed by repeatedly squeezing Hetty's (Linda Hunt) hand. The episode made fans sweat a bit as it showed Kensi's mom calling Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) to rush to the hospital quickly. The next clip showed him talking to Kensi and tearfully telling his girlfriend that he is helpless to help her no matter how much he wanted to.

It's a good thing that by its end, Kensi did wake up and now, the couple is faced with a new challenge in their relationship.

"I think the irony of that thought process for Deeks is that this catastrophic event makes him want to dedicate himself to the things that are important -- the irony being that Kensi, coming out of it, I think is going to be more in the tune of, let me get myself right before I can do anything as far as a relationship. Deeks is like, "I'll take whatever I can get." She says, "No, I have to get to 100 percent before I can even attempt to be a part of anything." So there's another proposal coming up at some point," shared Olsen.

Along with a fresh proposal, fans of the show should expect that the incident will have lasting effects on Kensi not only physically but also emotionally and psychologically.

Olsen also teased a bigger storyline for the revelation of the mole in prison. The actor also shared that there is more to the story than just his character Deeks.

The gang will have to get ready as they are about to unravel "a looming conspiracy at hand." Olsen added that the show will tackle all of this in the upcoming episodes for "NCIS: Los Angeles."

The next episode — entitled "Home is Where the Heart Is" —promises an equal balance of heavy and light subjects.

"A maintenance man stops an intruder from attacking a lieutenant commander but the probe uncovers his secret past which puts a teen in danger. Meanwhile, Sam must decide which colleague he should take to a football game," TV.com posted.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" airs every Sunday at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
