Fans of Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) should not be too worried about whether or not the character will survive the life-threatening injuries she suffered during the team's last mission to Syria because the actress will just be going on a real-life maternity leave.

According to a report by the Morning Ledger, the showrunners of "NCIS: Los Angeles" have assured avid fans of the show that they are planning to go around her maternity leave by reshuffling cast members while Kensi is currently stuck at the ICU. This means that it may be a while before fans catch a glimpse of Kensi in action as she will be spending all that time in the hospital for the meantime.

It could be recalled that Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) finally popped the question to Kensi while she was unconscious, so it will be interesting to see how she reacts when she finally wakes up from slumber and she finally hears his question.

The actress gave birth to a lovely baby girl named Sierra Esther Ruah Olsen last Sept.4. Ruah is married to Deeks' real life brother David Olsen.

Meanwhile, Nell Jones' (Renee Felice Smith) return to the series for episode 4 will reportedly save the day for the short-manned team, iTechPost reported.

When she returns, she will help the team solve the case involving a triad assassin who poisons a Homeland Security Agent. This would also lead them to a warehouse of the counterfeit purses and missing government money involved in a case that they are also working on.

In episode 5 — entitled "Ghost Gun" — Anna Kolcheck (Bar Paly) will return and is expected to form a special connection with Callen (Chris O' Donnell). It has previously been teased that Callen will finally be introduced to a love interest this season and this meeting could eventually blossom into something special for both characters.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8 episode 4 airs on Oct. 16 while episode 5 follows on Oct. 23.
