The team will race against time to prevent government secrets from being sold to the highest bidder in the upcoming episode of the CBS series "NCIS: Los Angeles."

In "An Unlocked Mind," Cartermatt reports that a former employee of the Department of Defense is being brainwashed by a cult he joined into. They wanted him to reveal classified information about the government which they can use to gain money. The Los Angeles team will reportedly send Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) as undercover agents to rescue the employee. The two will be posing as cult members in this case. Will they make it out alive?

Last episode, the team was involved in locating Mark Ruiz (Anthony Ruivivar), Sam's (LL Cool J) former partner, who disappeared during an undercover operation. The agent was said to be buying a bomb when he suddenly vanished. Ruiz was working as an asset to ATF when something went wrong with his transaction with the arms dealers. A bomb went off and the last his handlers saw of him was when he was running away with all the money.

Sam did not think that his former partner was dirty, so when the case was handed over to NCIS, he set out to investigate. When he and Callen (Chris O'Donnell) managed to track him, they learned that the whole transaction was a bust from the start. The seller of the explosives did not have any plans to part with his goods. He planned on killing his buyer, get the money and keep the bombs for himself. It turned out he was a terrorist and he was funding rebels in the Philippines.

Mark did not have time to clear it up with his supervisors, as it immediately became clear he was already a target. He and Sam then worked together to set up the criminal. They talked to his minions, who also had no idea that their boss had no plans to give them their money. The goons themselves killed the terrorist, then helped the pair find the other arms dealers. Ultimately, Mark's name was cleared.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" airs Mondays at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
