NBA draft rumors 2016: Atlanta Hawks trading out Teague in deal with Indiana Pacers and Utah Jazz

While there is no official announcement yet, the Atlanta Hawks have reportedly entered into a three-team trade which also involves the Indiana Pacers and the Utah Jazz.

Based on a report by ESPN, Atlanta will be trading guard Jeff Teague to Indiana while Jazz gets George Hill from the deal.

Teague, who has a year and $8 million left on his contract was reportedly happy about how the deal went down because he is a native of Indianapolis. He currently averages 12.1 points, 5.2 assists, and 1.2 steals during his time in Atlanta, reported Oregon Live. It has been reported that Indiana plans to extend his contract to long term .

Hill, on the other hand, averaged 12.1 points and 3.4 assists last season.

Under the three way deal, Atlanta will get the 12th pick for the draft to enable the team to beef up their roster with young up and comers who will complement their current line up.

It also gives them an opportunity to focus on developing their game plan with Dennis Schroeder as their starting point guard, reported The Vertical. Shroeder is also reportedly being eyed for an extended contact with the Hawks.

Atlanta opted to go for the deal, according to ESPN, because they wanted to ensure that they would have the financial capability to resign Al Horford and Kent Bazemore since Horford will become a free agent starting July 1.

Horford has already been receiving feelers from teams like the Orlando Magic, Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Lakers who are expected to  make good offers for the big man.

The move actually helps Indiana and Utah secure reliable point guards for their teams. Aside from the 12th pick, the Hawks also get the 21st, 44th and 54th pick in next week's draft.

The deal doesn't become official until July because of salary caps.
