NBA trade rumors 2016: DeMarcus Cousins and Nerlens Noel in trade deal?

DeMarcus Cousins has been in the center of a lot of trade rumors, and recently, these point to a possible trade deal between the Sacramento Kings and the Philadelphia 76ers to swap Cousins and Nerlens Noel before the new season starts.

According to Mobile & Apps, these two teams both expressed their desire to have their rosters reshuffled, since they both lost some of their star players this off-season. As such, in order to improve their frontcourt presence, both teams could possibly engage in a trade to swap Cousins and Noel.

Furthermore, for the Sacramento Kings, another reason for their desire to have this 26-year-old player within this year is due to the fact he will be in the NBA free agency by 2018. By that time, it will not be possible for the team to get the best deals out of him. Cousins might also be having issues with the team's management, further solidifying the rumors of him getting exchanged.

The 76ers will also have a good deal out of getting Cousins in place of Noel, since it will bolster the team's capabilities. This ensures that the team will give other teams a tough time in the Eastern NBA league, such as the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Noel, in turn, will be a better fit for the Kings, due to his remarkable defensive skills in the frontcourt, which certainly provides more aid to the Kings' key players, like Ben McLemore and Darren Collison.

Another rumor involving Cousins is a five-player deal between the Chicago Bulls and Sacramento Kings, with the Bulls sending over Jimmy Butler, Robin Lopez and Doug McDermott in exchange for Cousins and Rudy Gay, according to the Inquisitr. Regardless, if these rumors turn out to be true and the trade pushes through, it will be considered to be one of the most significant NBA trades this year.
