NBA trade rumors 2016: Cleveland Cavaliers could deal for Markieff Morris

The Cleveland Cavaliers are not going to hold back on possible trade acquisitions, so why not include Markieff Morris who has been silently toiling over at Phoenix?

Getting Morris into the Cavs fold could be a huge one, although it may require them to give up some of their players. One player who could be moved in his favor is Anderson Varejão although other less utilized players could be dangled as well.

Then again, they may not need to unload anyone considering they do have a Traded Player Exception which hold after unloading the likes of Mike Miller and Brendan Haywood in the offseason. So right now, the Cavs can get up and move to snag Morris from the Suns if they want to.

But do the Cavs really need another high profile player?

One has to take into consideration what Morris wants. If he ends up donning the Cavs uniform, he could likely see his minutes dwindle. There are other players in the fold such as Tristan Thompson, Kevin Love, and Timofey Mozgov whom he would have to share minutes with.

But would all that change if it means getting a high chance of winning an NBA title?

As far as Morris is concerned, the only thing in his mind right now is bolting the Suns. He may be quiet but deep inside, he does want out. His brother Marcus Morris attested to that via NBC Sports.

For the Cavs, it adds flexibility on their end. Morris is seen as someone who can match up better against players like Draymond Green than the players mentioned he would be sharing minutes with.

On the production end, Morris' performance so far has been put into question. He is not racking in the same numbers as before but many believe that this is because of his unhappy state in Arizona. Will all that change if Morris plays somewhere else like in Cleveland?
