2K Sports has announced that the fourth update to its current hoops simulation title, "NBA 2K16," is now live for PS4 players. Meanwhile, the PC and Xbox One versions of the update will soon follow.

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, the update came in at over 2 GB and fixes some current issues in the game and brings some improvements like dialing back missed alley-oops and putback dunks when open, among others.

Aside from the tweaks and improvements, it seems that the update also added a point in a player's current rating. In a report by Christian Post, it is said that a point has been added to Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry, which led to him having a current 96 Overall in-game. The new rating also placed the player on the Diamond level in the MyTEAM option for "NBA 2K16."

As for the overall improvements to the title, the fourth update rolled out tweaks in gameplay as well as the MyCareer/MyPark/My Court and MyGM/MyLeague features. For general system and design improvements, the new update has addressed the bug where players lose control of characters as well as hangs and disconnection issues when playing online. In addition, the new update addressed a PC-specific glitch where data and in-game items become corrupted due to virus scanning software.

The career modes and GM modes for the title have also been tweaked. With the new update, the game will not freeze when there is a cutback scene of Doris Burke interviewing a MyPlayer character during the end of the first half or the end of the game. Meanwhile, the freeze issue for MyGM when the feature has been forwarded into the future during offseason had also been resolved.

2K Sports posted the full patch notes for the fourth update for "NBA 2K16" on the company's social media sites.
