'Nashville' season 4 spoilers: No reconciliation for Juliette, Avery

Bad news for shippers of Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) and Avery (Jonathan Jackson). There will be no reunion for the pair in the upcoming episodes of the hit ABC series "Nashville."

TV Line reports that when the songstress eventually returns after her stint in rehab, Avery has already met an interesting girl, a single mom, who will be played by "Boardwalk Empire" alum Meg Steedle. Avery will reportedly find her charming after their first encounter and will continue to do so after. Juliette may be able to see their daughter Cadence, but her former husband is still intent on divorcing her in season 4B.

During the midseason finale, Emily (Kourtney Hansen) succeeded in convincing Avery to let Juliette see their daughter. It was quite obvious that he still has not forgiven his ex-wife for abandoning them for her career. He even told Emily that Juliette must be lying about her rehab treatment, just so she could get visiting rights for Cadence.

Juliette agreed to go to rehab to treat her depression, but the series' showrunners have hinted at her strong comeback for the upcoming episodes. Executive producer Dee Johnson told Deadline back in October that Panettiere would be back soon to portray her character, after she got treatment for her postpartum depression.

"We incorporated Hayden's pregnancy into the storyline last season, but we knew Juliette would have issues with motherhood and had always planned for her to struggle with her demons afterward, including postpartum depression," he said.

Juliette's triumphant return, however, will be marred when she discovers that someone has managed to captivate Avery. The singer checked into rehab hoping to win her family back. While she may be reunited with the daughter she previously rejected, no reconciliation is in the works for her and Avery.

"Nashville" season 4 will return on Wednesday, March 16, at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
