Fans who want Naruto Shippiden to return the focus to everyone's favorite Hokage can now breathe a sigh of relief as it was reported that the last episode was the last of the Ashura-Indra arc.

According to Game and Guide, the storyline ended rather abruptly owing mainly to the fans growing impatience to the anime's extended time focusing on the sub characters.

The report added that the Ashura-Indra arc was only ever a filler storyline in order to introduce the conflict between the Senju and Uchicha clans but the production had to cut the storyline earlier because of the growing clamor among fans.

The Ashura and Indra arc featured the rivalry between the two siblings in order to become the Ninshu's torch bearer wherein the showdown resulted in Indra's loss. This became the spark that started the animosity between the brothers as Indra vowed to erase Ninshu's legacy while Ashura vowed to protect it.

When Naruto Shippuden returns for Episode 469, it is expected that the plot will go back to its original storyline.

Based on the trailer, the episode entitled A Secret Mission will see Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura  discussing how they can complete an S-rank mission together.

According to a synopsis provided by Saiyan Island, "With the story back in the present, Naruto and Sasuke are in different dimensions. Kakashi gives Team special 7 a special mission. Teamwork between Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke will be key to accomplish the mission with full force – seal Kaguyua! "

Meanwhile, the site also revealed the title of Episode 470. The episode is entitled The Connecting Thoughts.

Based on the promo posted by Crunchroll, Naruto tries his best to save Sasuke by following their opponent through a weird portal after a heated battle in favor of the enemy.
