While the season finale of "Mr. Robot" answered some basic questions about the show's characters and events, there were some cliffhangers that fans can't wait to see answered in season 2. However, prior to the premiere of the second season, fans may see some speculations, spoilers, and predictions surface online, as writers for the much-acclaimed thriller drama start working on the script for the continuation.

According to Deadline, the creative team behind "Mr. Robot" has already started working on how season 2 will come about. Creator and lead writer Sam Esmail announced the development during a recent "Mr. Robot" cross guild event in Los Angeles. While Esmail focused on the announcement itself and tried to veer away from potential spoilers, fans and observers couldn't help but ask some pointed questions.

When asked about how Mr. Robot can be seen by other people when he is just a figment of the main character's imagination, Esmail hinted that it will be made clear in season 2. Specifically, an episode will answer why Mr. Robot can interact with Tyrell, which was highlighted in the first season. Esmail said, "We'll specifically address that scene in the second season."

In "Mr. Robot," Christian Slater plays the part of Elliot Anderson's (Rami Malek) confidante, with Malek playing the part of the schizophrenic hacker. It was revealed toward the end of the first season that Mr. Robot himself is just a figment of Rami's imagination and turned out to be his father, whom Rami has had no contact with for the longest time.

Meanwhile, those who would like to refresh the events in the first "Mr. Robot" season can watch the episodes with a 24-hour marathon of the first season beginning December 29.
