With the age of Smartwatch wearable slowly picking up, there are three key models to watch out for in case you plan to get one for yourself.
A quick glance in the market will reveal the Moto 360 2, the Samsung Gear S2, and of course the Apple Watch to consider.
Of the three of course, the Moto 360 2 could be the one to get the least attention. The notion holds true for folks who have preference in brand but looking a bit closer, you may be surprised.
The first preference of the mix will likely be a toss-up between the Apple Watch and the Samsung Gear S2. The choice could boil down to whether you are an Android user or an iOS loyalist.
Motorola is, of course, known to run on Android but a key feature that it carries is the fact that it can work on iOS and Android on a limited degree, offering some flexibility if you compare it to the Apple Watch and the Samsung Gear S2.
Aside from that, the Moto 360 2 seems to be toe-to-toe with the Apple Watch as far as power backing is concerned as it relies on a Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. Both the Moto 360 2 and the Apple Watch are slightly faster than the dual-core powered Samsung Gear S2.
Other than that, all three come with pretty much the same specs — 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage for apps.
Another advantage that the Moto 360 2 offers is that it can make use of the 22-millimeter watch band. The Gear S2 also does the same while the Apple Watch is sort of restricted to first party watch bands.
As far as pricing is concerned, the Moto 360 2 is priced starting at $299 for the basic model. The Apple Watch is pricier at $550 while the Samsung Gear S2 does not have an official pricing yet, although it would hardly be surprising if it comes out higher than the Motorola piece.
