A brand new press render has emerged, allegedly showcasing a variant of the rumored Microsoft Lumia 950 (or 940) in a new skin. This came after a previous press render of the Microsoft Lumia 940 and 940 XL made the rounds, displaying the former in blue and the latter in black.
In this new image, the Microsoft Lumia 950 (940), said to bear the codename Cityman, wears a sleek white chassis with its front and side buttons showcased in black. Apart from that, it has the same thick loop around its rear camera. On the shooter's right is a loudspeaker mesh and on its left is a triple LED flash. The subtle Microsoft logo is plastered underneath all these, just at the center of the device's back.
As for the specs, rumor has it that the device comes with a 5.2-inch Quad HD display. Under its hood is reportedly a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, with six cores to boot. This should work nicely with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of expandable storage space.
The handset is expected to house a 20 MP primary PureView camera paired with a 5 MP shooter on the front. As per Phone Arena, it has four microphones all in all, enough to create Microsoft its version of Nokia's High Amplitude Audio Capture.
Its bigger counterpart, the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, is said to measure 5.7 inches. It is reportedly getting a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, but will also get the same 20 MP PureView camera on the back and a 5 MP selfie snapper on the front.
These Lumia phones are likely to be the first ones to don Windows 10.
Together with the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and Microsoft Band 2, the Lumia 950 and 950 XL are expected to be unveiled on Oct. 19.
