Gerald Green has finally reported back to practice, but the ghost of that condo lobby incident hounds him to this day.

The issue isn't expected to go away anytime soon and, apparently, Green knows that. Just the same, he is doing the best possible thing by avoiding any talk about it and getting his mind into playing NBA ball from hereon.

The only thing he will say about the matter is that he regrets that unfortunate episode and apologizes for what had transpired.

Apparently, the whole Green incident was a bad precedent for the shooting guard and now, he tries to make his return with a burden on his shoulders.

Green has missed a total of six games thus far, dating back to Nov. 3. He was ruled out on account of illness before being followed by that condo lobby fracas.

At that time, it seemed that the illness was in reference to him being dehydrated. However, it remains to be seen if this had anything to do with that lobby incident which also saw one victim getting punched for trying to restrain him.

The whole incident was reportedly resolved internally, and head coach Erik Spoelstra hopes that everyone can move forward from it, similar to what Green is hoping for.

The Heat already meted out its own disciplinary action on Green, suspending him for two games. He was also fined $25,000 for the incident which was deemed actions detrimental to the team.

It was actually the second time that Green had been fined. During the preseason, he was fined by the NBA for making menacing gestures as well. Right now, here is hoping that no such incident will happen to the 29-year-old guard in the future.

The Heat will play the Minnesota Timberwolves this Tuesday, although it remains to be seen if Green will be given playing time by Spoelstra.
