Phoenix Suns trade rumors 2015: Markieff Morris wants out of Phoenix

Markieff Morris has been a member of the Phoenix Suns since he entered the NBA back in 2011 but it seems that all that could be coming to an abrupt end soon.

Apparently, Markieff is pretty upset about the Suns' move to trade his twin brother Marcus, who was sent to the Detroit Pistons in the offseason.

The Morris Twins agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Suns, opting for less money so that they could both play together in Phoenix. But in a reportedly "salary dump" move, the Suns moved Marcus which is something Markieff terms as a "slap on the face."

Despite his rant for a trade, Markieff made it clear that he will still report for training camp; despite his disappointment, he will approach everything as professional as possible.

As for possible destinations, Markieff seems to have two teams in mind — the Houston Rockets and the Toronto Raptors.

His preference to play for the Rockets is because the 6-foot-10-inch power forward wants to play alongside James Harden. On the other hand, and if he ends up in Toronto, Kyle Lowry is a player he wants to be on the court with.

Whatever he decides, it is apparent that Morris wants out of Phoenix following what he feels is a betrayal of sorts because he took in less money just so that he and his brother could stay together in Arizona.

Markieff was the 13th overall pick in 2011 by the Suns, and churned out perhaps his best performance for the Suns last year. In the 2014–15 NBA season, Morris averaged 15.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists, the best he has had since entering the league.

The younger of the two (by seven minutes), Marcus, on the other hand, was selected 11th by the Houston Rockets in the 2011 NBA Draft.
