Marcos Maidana to return to the ring in November 2015?

Marcos Maidana has been out of the boxing ring for almost a year now, opting to take time out and spend more time with his family.

After facing off against Floyd Mayweather Jr. twice in 2014, it seems that the Argentinean fighter has been taking it easy and savoring the heavy earnings he got from the two fights.

"I spend most of the time with my family in my hometown," Maidana told an Argentina radio station recently and translated by ESPN.com.

So has Maidana forgotten all about boxing? Is he still motivated to continue fighting?

Apparently, this is something that many are asking. Reports have it that Maidana has put on a lot of weight and is very much out of shape. Should he indeed return this November, it might take a lot of work to whip up the former two division world champion back into fighting form.

Maidana, 32, will indeed have his work cut out for him. After his two fights with Mayweather, Maidana may be looking for a credible opponent to gain the same high paycheck he got.

But with the long lay-off and him being off-form, the likeliness of that happening could be close to impossible.

"Yes, purses are always important but I care more about the will to fight rather than purses," Maidana was quoted as saying in the same radio interview.

Maidana admits that he has lost the motivation to fight after his tiffs with Mayweather. He is eyeing someone that is worth fighting, although that long wait could get things complicated.

So with no worthy fighter to face, does it mean Maidana is considering ending his career?

It may all depend once he does start training with Robert Garcia. The trainer admits via Boxingscene.com that it will not be easy to get Maidana back to form, although he doesn't expect him to fight anytime soon.

Will he call it quits or find that motivation? It all depends once he gets back in the gym.
