Manny Pacquiao next fight rumors: Timothy Bradley Jr. and Teddy Atlas tandem hardly impresses Freddie Roach

The psyche jobs have started to take place and Freddie Roach is, of course, not holding back.

In what is perhaps the only thing that is interesting about the upcoming fight between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley Jr. this April, the trash talk expected to take place between Roach and counterpart Teddy Atlas has technically started.

Roach weighed in on the newly founded partnership between Timothy Bradley Jr. and Teddy Atlas and bares via Boxingscene.com that he was hardly impressed.

And his reason for such is somehow similar to the observations that a former Pacquiao trainer (Rick Stratheli) bared recently, saying that Rios was visibly out of shape.

Apparently many were too glued on Bradley last November that they overlooked the actual state of Rios. Based on his observation, Roach pointed out that Rios struggled to make the weight limit for that fight and was carrying a lot of excess baggage (fat).

With that said, Roach sees Bradley's triumph inevitable. With an out of shape Rios, a Bradley victory was imminent. And capping that, he questions where the Atlas factor comes in.

The only thing Roach credits Atlas for is that he is a good motivator. But that may not be enough for someone like Pacquiao.

And just like what another trainer, Jeff Mayweather (uncle of Floyd Mayweather Jr.) via On The Ropes Boxing Radio, pointed out, Bradley could come out with an improved performance against Pacquiao but in the end, the results will be still the same in favor of the Filipino boxing icon.

Atlas is expected to fire back soon, something that is characteristic and expected from him. And as mentioned earlier, this is perhaps the only interesting thing to watch out for in what is deemed as a poor choice of opponent for the eight-time division champion's alleged last fight.
