Elizabeth McCord (Téa Leoni) will take quick action to save her brother Will (Eric Stoltz) from the unrest in Syria in the upcoming episode of the CBS series "Madam Secretary."

In "Catch and Release," Cartermatt reports that the secretary will attempt to contain the escalating situation in Syria by recalling all the aid workers based in the country. The stringent measure will be put in motion after an American humanitarian is murdered by an ISIS leader. The fact that the terrorist is the first known American head of the extremist group is doubly troubling for the United States. Elizabeth will reportedly do everything that it takes to seek justice for what happened.

In truth, the situation is more personal than others will realize, as Elizabeth's brother is also one of the aid workers there. The website reports that even though they do not frequently see things eye to eye, their sibling bond does prevail in the end. Elizabeth will make sure that Will, as well as the rest of the Americans risking their lives out there, returns home safe. Will she succeed? Once the radicals learn that the brother of the U.S. Secretary of State is in Syria, they might use it to their advantage.

Meanwhile, Henry McCord (Tim Daly) is facing a problem of his own. Dmitri Petrov (Chris Petrovski) has asked his help to save Ivan Kolashkov (Dennis Staroselsky). The Russian has been called back to Moscow and Dmitri fears for his life. Elizabeth's husband is reportedly conflicted on what to do. But if he allows himself to be drawn in the sticky situation, things may blow up in his face. Will he help the younger man?

Last episode was a turning point for Dmitri. He realized that his work as a spy for Russia could save lives. When Henry asked him to attend an event in the Russian embassy, he overheard classified information regarding Maria Ostrov's (Angela Gots) plans. The presidential aspirant wanted Anton Gorev's (Yorgo Constantine) daughter to be brought to the embassy for a few weeks. Ostrov was going to use her as a leverage for the election. Because of Dmitri's snooping, Henry was able to save Olga (Sofiya Akilova) and prevent more bloodshed.

Elsewhere, Gorev was killed while he was making a deal with the British so he could return to Russia. With his death, Ostrov was another step closer to the presidency. She already made her move to take down Ukrainian President Mikhail Bozek (Lev Gorn) due to his connection with the United States. What will be Ostrov's next move?

"Madam Secretary" airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
