If new reports about the much-awaited MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2016 prove true, gamers will have new laptops to turn to for a definitive gaming experience. There's word that the machines will house powerful Nvidia GPU and external GPU units.

Nvidia just released the GeForce GTX 950 GPU, which is touted to be three times faster than the 650 GPU unit that was deemed the most powerful in the lineup. It also packs support on latest and all technologies and effects. Having it on board the new MacBook laptops will make them more formidable.

The MacBook Air 2016 should be more redoubtable with a new Intel Skylake processor powering it up. This unit is the latest and most stellar in the series and should allow for low power consumption while being a full-fledged gaming device.

The same goes for the MacBook Pro 2016, which is reportedly getting the same processor from Intel. This will boost the machine's processing performance, while power efficiency is amped up, also keeping its graphics performance in tip-top shape.

With Skylake integrated on both laptops, their battery life should also last longer. It will also allow Force Touch technology to work seamlessly on the laptops. The feature, which was first seen in the Apple Watch and was later integrated in the newly released MacBook, is expected to be seen in action in the 2016 iterations of the laptops, too.

The new Pro laptop is said to be getting two editions. The standard edition is allegedly getting a 13-inch display and a hefty 4 GB RAM to boot, with another variant having 128 GB of storage space. The premium edition will boast a bigger 15-inch display, 8 GB RAM, and 516 GB storage.

It is unclear when the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro 2016 are showing up but there's word they could be launched as early as next month.
