As the franchise returns to the City of Angels, the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL) are trying to boost their offense, aiming to acquire Denver Broncos franchise quarterback Peyton Manning.

Manning is currently having a loaded schedule and is preparing for Super Bowl 50, but it seems the veteran passer is already being presented with options once the season ends.

In a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN, he stated that per a league source, the Rams have had "internal discussions" about having Manning play for them if he decides to stick around for one more season.

The future of Manning's career is in the spotlight since he told New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick following the American Football Conference (AFC) Championship Game that he might be in his "last rodeo."

Manning already said to the media during Super Bowl media day that he is not thinking about the statement and is focused on the task at hand, which is Sunday's championship matchup with the Carolina Panthers.

Many believe the game on Sunday is the last for the 39-year-old quarterback after an illustrious career, although he still has a year remaining in his contract with the Broncos.

Schefter added in his report that the Rams are "monitoring" Manning and if he plans to play one more season, he might have options of where to end his career.

Currently, the Rams have three quarterbacks in their roster — Case Keenum as their starter with Nick Foles and Sean Mannion having the backup roles.

The Rams are coming off another losing year which saw them miss the playoffs for the 11th consecutive season, after finishing with a 7–9 record to place third in the National Football Conference (NFC) West.

In the 2004 season, the Rams reached the Divisional Playoffs, but it was the final time they made it to the postseason.
