South Korea-based LG Electronics took the veil off the first of its V lineup, the V10, promising fans that the new addition will be a multimedia powerhouse.

Under the hood, the LG V10 sits between mid-range and premium specifications. It comes with a Snapdragon 808 processor with a massive 4 GB of RAM, and a 64-GB storage option. Heavy-detail users can get expanded memory via microSD support, allowing for up to 2 TB of storage. The phone also comes with a full range of connectivity options – Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, USB 2.0, and WiFi. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor that works with Android Pay.

In addition, the LG V10 has a removable back cover and battery, should users choose to upgrade the 3,000 mAh one.

In terms of design, one of the most notable features of the V10 is its dual screen. The main display is a 5.7-inch QHD Quantum display with 2560 x 1440 resolution and 513 ppi. Meanwhile, on top of the main display, there is also a secondary, 2.1-inch IPS Quantum display with the same 513 ppi that has an always-on feature. Owners can customize the secondary display to show information, notifications, or shortcut keys to favorite apps. The secondary display also functions independently of the main one, so the battery drain is minimal.

Aside from the two-screen feature, the V10 is also designed with durability and stress in mind. The chassis, ends, and corners are made of Dura Guard, a stainless steel variant. Meanwhile, the back and bottom of the display are made with Dura Skin, drop-proof for up to 48 inches and highly-resistant to scratches. The Dura Skin back is also grid-patterned for a more secure yet comfortable grip.

The V10 also offers a rich multimedia experience, as its main 16-MP camera easily captures 4K videos with manual, user-defined options such as ISO, frame rate, white balance, and focus. Meanwhile, there are two 5-MP secondary cameras out front – one for a quick selfie, and the other one for a wide-angled, 120-degree group shots.

The LG V10 will be initially available in Korea this month and brought to other markets soon.
