Google is expected to roll out Android 6.0 Marshmallow anytime now, and a lot of Android device owners are eagerly waiting to see if their devices are among those that will receive the latest Android update.

Now, counting the devices that may be waiting in the wings for the said update, the list seems to be endless. So for this post, let us focus simply on two devices — the LG G3 and LG G4.

It appears that the two devices will be among the first ones to receive the latest Android OS apart from the ones under Google's wings, the Nexus devices. Word about this possibility comes from the G for Games site which shows an online support page for the LG duo.

According to the website, LG is set to release Android 6.0 to three variants for each model. These are the LG G4 F500S, F500K, and F500L and the LG G3 F400S, F400K, and F400L. Even though a Marshmallow option for the said devices would redirect users to an unrelated page, a reference to the update is seen as a positive sign that LG is on the verge of releasing Android 6.0 Marshmallow to both devices.

Aside from the two LG models, no other devices are closely rumored to getting an Android Marshmallow update for now, although if the LG G3 and G4 do get it, other models like the LG G2 and LG G Flex 2 could possibly be receive theirs soon as well.

Such is the same scenario for other models from brands such as HTC and Samsung which are expected to line up their select models for the big update to Android Marshmallow 6.

There is high anticipation for the Android Marshmallow 6.0, particularly the new features it carries. Such include the doze battery-saving feature, Google Now on Tap, granular app permissions, USB Type-C support, and fingerprint scanner support.
