'Legend of Korra' Book 3 spoilers: Antagonist and family drama could be revealed

The next episodes of the "Legend of Korra" Book 3 may reveal the new antagonist of the series and more family drama.

According to spoilers, Korra and the rest of the gang may have a new villain that they have to deal with. Currently, Zaheer, Ghazan, Ming-Hua and P'Li are the toughest characters in the third book "Change".

However, there were speculations that Varrick could be the new antagonist in the series. Everyone thought that Varrick was left behind in Republic City. However, he appeared again in the plot in the metal city of Zaofu.

According to iDigital Times, although it was not clear in the second season, Varrick was involved with the bad guys and helped the Triple Threat Triads of Book 2 access explosives. The motivation of the man was money no matter who is paying for it. The audience may see this again and Varrick may do some things to detract the protagonists.

Everyone knows that Zaheer and the rest of team Eliminate Korra are highly skilled in fighting. However, they may need the aid of artillery and Varrick is in the best position to provide those weapons.

Meanwhile, more family drama is expected in the coming episodes. According to leaks, the third season of the animated series will be more like Avatar: The Last Airbender. Lin and Bumi will play bigger roles in Book 3.

The much awaited Book 3 of "Legend of Korra" debuted last June 27, which is earlier than expected. However, some reports stated that the new season of the animated TV series suffered poor ratings due to the rushed release date. Moreover, the Book 3 lacked adequate promotion to build up interest from waiting fans. It seemed that Nickelodeon rushed the airing of the cartoon as the synopsis of the Book 3 leaked online by its Mexican affiliate, MundoNick, last month.
