'Kingdom Hearts 1.5 2.5 ReMix' PS4 release date, updates: Compilation coming March 2017

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 and 2.5 ReMix Square-Enix

Because Square Enix has to adjust "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix" from the PlayStation 3 to the PlayStation  4, it has announced that fans may need to wait a couple more months before the launch of the compilation.

According to the game developers, the launch will happen on March 28, 2017 for North America and March 31, 217 for Europe and both will be tailored for the PlayStation 4 console. It can be recalled that these remakes were originally developed for the PlayStation 3 but because of the developments in console technology, the game needed to be upgraded to the latest console in the market which is the PlayStation 4, reported Game and Guide.

However, fans won't be disappointed because the compilation will be featured in one disc which will operate with a gameplay of 60 frames per second. For gamers who cannot wait to get their hands on the remastered version, pre-orders are already open through Amazon.

Based on the product description, the package will include "Kingdom Hearts Final Mix," "Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories," "Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days" (HD remastered cinematics), "Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix," "Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix," as well as "Kingdom Hearts Re:coded."

"Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories" is the 3D remake of the original Nintendo DS game that bridges the first and second games. The set will be available for $49.99.

Meanwhile, game director Tetsuya Nomura has revealed that there are some hidden messages that fans need to look out for on the cover of "Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix."

The surprise is part of the 15th anniversary celebration of the game, which was originally released by Disney and Sqaure Enix in 2002.

"There are actually two secrets about the illustrations from [KH1.5] until [KH2.8]. Extremely attentive KH fans might have already discovered them, but one is that Sora's movements change from sitting, to standing, to walking. One more is that when you line up the three illustrations, you'll notice that they show the flow of time with changes in the sky. [KH1.5] is sunset becoming night, [KH2.5] is the middle of the night, and [KH2.8] is night breaking into dawn. Those three illustrations have a message regarding the final chapter, [KHIII]," he said.
