'Justice League' movie news: Ben Affleck teases Deathstroke appearance in DC movie

The DC Extended Universe may be taking a page from the MCU in approaching the superhero genre with a bit more lightness to make it fun, especially for the younger set.

This theory was derived by some fans who interpreted a short video posted by Ben Affleck on his Twitter account showcasing the DC villain Deathstroke, and then panning to a garbage can before returning to Deathstroke again. This could well be Affleck poking fun at the villain, who is one of Batman's arch nemesis in the comic books, Screenrant reported.

Could this mean that he will be making an appearance on Justice League?

The Justice League movie, which will feature characters like Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Cyborg is set to feature Steppehwolf as the main villain.

However, the possibility of Deathstroke eventually joining the party could also happen based on Affleck's video post since the set depicts the bottom floor of the Flying Fox, aka the Justice League portable headquarters.

Affleck's video also showed the Batmobile in the background which confirmed the location of the villain.

It has still not been revealed who the actor cast as Deathstroke is but he is expected to be the main villain in the next Batman movie as well.

Meanwhile, J.K Simmons, who has recently wrapped his taping for the role of Commissioner Gordon for the movie admitted that there was a really light and fun vibe in Zack Znyder's set.

"In this first installment of the Justice League, Commissioner Gordon is not a particularly sizable part. We just kind of introduce him and see a little bit of his interactions with Batman -- and with most of the Justice League. That was a really fun set. Zack [Snyder] runs sort of a big, happy family and it's obviously, in many ways, a very different work environment when you're working on a big, giant movie like that," he said of his experience.

Justice League is set to hit theaters on November 17, 2017.
