'Just Cause 3' release date, update: trailer reveals gameplay

Developer Avalanche Studios has released the first trailer for the upcoming title "Just Cause 3".

The trailer, which was said to be captured directly from a sample run from a console, showed the magnitude of the new game. Based on the new "Just Cause 3" video, the title promises an action-packed and adrenaline-filled gameplay for hardcore fans, with explosive car chases, high-speed choppers shots, and entire buildings burning from the inside and out.

In the trailer, fans were also treated to a glimpse of the exotic expanse that is Medici, "Just Cause 3" make-believe Mediterranean archipelago. Sunflower fields, vast expanses of the sea, green mountains serve as the backdrop for the main protagonist's fight againt an evil regime.

In the new title, players are tasked to find and capture enemy bases around the islands, and transform them into a base of operations. The story is set several years after the events in "Just Cause 2", and this time, main protagonist Rico Rodriguez will have to use all his skills and everything in his arsenal to wage war against dictator General Di Ravello, who has an iron grip in the islands of Medici, set in-game to be in the Mediterranean.

As part of the celebration for the upcoming release of the third instalment in the much-hyped "Just Cause" franchise, hardcore fans who would pre-order will get a Reward. In the trailer, publisher Square Enix says that those that would order "Just Cause 3" before its official release will get a Weaponized Vehicle Pack, which was shown at the end of the trailer. The bonus content is packaged with three exclusive luxury cars that come equipped with enough firepower to help the players accomplish the missions.

"Just Cause 3" will be released this coming holiday and will coming for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
