Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier fight news 2015: When will the rematch happen? [VIDEO]

Jon Jones got his much anticipated reinstatement to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently and one unlikely individual who is elated over it is current UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.

The two, of course, have a history, with both hating each other's guts. But for Cormier, it is all about payback and proving to the world that Jones' win over him last January was a mistake. It was the only loss in Cormier's UFC career thus far.

Jones' reinstatement, apparently, stems from the fact that he is making good progress on his community service work, a condition that needs to be satisfied in connection with his plea bargain agreement. The UFC seems to have been convinced that Jones has learned his lesson from that unfortunate April hit-and-run incident, wherein a pregnant woman suffered a broken arm after Bones hit her car.

Jones escaped jail time but the UFC reiterates that his reinstatement is more of a privilege than a right. With the reinstatement, Jones can return to the Octagon when he is ready, although it seems that such will happen in 2016.

And the first opponent will be Cormier, who says that this is the best news he has heard so far in a long time.

Cormier's reaction can be found on his Facebook page. Part of it reads:

"A guy that has shown to be one of the greatest fighters of all time is back. As a competitor there could be no other outcome and this is the best news I've heard in a long time."

Cormier vs. Jones is expected to be something interesting, with both fighters out on a mission. Cormier is out for redemption, while Jones is looking to reclaim his championship belt after being stripped of it following the April incident.
