Jane (Gina Rodriguez) is back at graduate school, but it will not be the major "homecoming" that she is expecting in the upcoming episode of the hit The CW series "Jane the Virgin."
In "Chapter Twenty-Eight," TV Guide reports that Jane has finally returned to her studies but the new mother is already facing a hurdle. She will reportedly have the misfortune of having a professor who is indifferent to her situation. It took a long while for Jane to pursue her education once more, especially after having baby Mateo. Will this teacher mess things up for her?
While Jane is already stressed out with her school work, the synopsis reveals she will also be preoccupied worrying about her baby's father. She fears that Rafael (Justin Baldoni) will get the wrong idea when she asks his help regarding Mateo's estate planning. Jane is also scared that her son will grow up spoiled because of so much attention he has been receiving of late. And what about Michael (Brett Dier) who accidentally hurt Mateo because of his bad temper in the previous episode?
Last week, Jane has made up her mind that it was the detective that she really loves and not Rafael. After the hot kiss they shared, the deal was sealed for her, although she was still apprehensive about telling the other guy about her decision. Rafael, regrettably, had the bad luck of overhearing what happened, so when Jane tried to bring up the topic, he did everything to discourage her. Things took a turn for the worse when Michael learned that he was being suspended for letting Nadine (Azie Tesfai) go.
He thought that it was Rafael who ratted out on him and the two brawled right in front of the baby, who got hurt due to broken glasses. Jane was furious that Michael would hurt her son, albeit unintentionally. She told him that if he could not deal with Mateo's father, then they were through. Michael then learned that Rafael was not the whistleblower, but the damage has already been made. Later on, he received an even worse news. The chief has fired him for breaking into his office.
Unemployed and heartbroken, Michael headed to the parking lot to get his car, but Nadine was already there, holding a gun. Will she have the mettle to pull the trigger?
"Jane the Virgin" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on The CW.
