Xiomara (Andrea Navedo) and Rogelio (Jaime Camil) will have to deal with some setbacks in their relationship in the upcoming episode of the hit series "Jane the Virgin."

Last episode, Rogelio finally worked up the courage to propose to his longtime partner. He and Xo have been together for quite a while, and he thinks it's time to make everything official. It would be the third time for Rogelio to get married. Rogelio was hoping that the saying "third time's the charm" would hold true for him and Xo. He even bought the stone he wanted for the engagement ring he planned to present to her. Unfortunately, it got swallowed by baby Mateo, but things turned up okay in the end.

Rogelio was able to propose to Xo and she sort of accepted. But when he told her he wanted to have a kid again, she said no. For Xo, it was time to enjoy her life without the impediment of caring for a baby. Anyway, their daughter Jane (Gina Rodriguez) already has a son and Mateo fulfills the need for laughter and positivity in the family. Rogelio was devastated with Xo's decision, but he hid his feelings brilliantly.

In the upcoming episode titled "Chapter Thirty-Four," Spoilers Guide reports that the couple will have to deal with some "relationship issues." Could it be that Rogelio will tell Xo exactly what he's feeling?

Meanwhile, the promo shows Jane getting hot and steamy with Jonathan (guest star Adam Rodriguez). The new couple is out on a romantic dinner date, but they end up looking at each other's eyes the whole time. Jonathan then asks Jane to come back to his place. Prior to this, Jane was telling her mother that she is finally ready to take the plunge. When she admits to Jonathan that she is a virgin and that it is due to her promise to her grandmother, he just looks confused.

"Jane the Virgin" season 2 episode 12 airs Monday, Feb. 22 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
