Fans can't seem to get enough of the dapper billionaire superhero and this, of course, expectedly causes rumors about "Iron Man 4" to spring up. Many would like to see Robert Downey Jr. slip into the iron suit once more for another cinema feat but the odds of that happening are still slim. Well, if "Iron Man 4" is really on Marvel Studio's cards, then the company is keeping it all mum.
However, not all details managed to escape from Tony Stark's eagled-eyed fans. Crossmap reported that Downey Jr. is "careful of his statements," neither denying nor confirming the possibility. It may be because big changes are coming, changes so big that Iron Man himself will show a new face.
Word on the street is that a new and rather younger Tony Stark is coming. Speculations that 13-year-old Ty Simpkins will take Iron Man's superhero responsibilities are slowly gaining momentum since they sprouted last month. The youngster might be snagging the classic superhero role from Downey Jr. after he starred alongside the actor on "Iron Man 3" as Harley Keener, a young boy who assisted Stark in hunting for information about the villain, The Mandarin.
The idea of replacing Downey Jr. is still a bit mind-boggling though. Media outlets find it hard to interweave the stories that could lead up to the moment. Should the iron suit get another owner, Marvel Studios may take on a story where Stark will have to pass it on to him. With this, the story gains a bit potential. Despite that though, Crossmap believes that no changes, just Downey Jr.'s "charm," could move the franchise forward.
Master Herald, on the other hand, thinks that the speculations are just plain "baseless." The site added that there are still so many changes and talks that will come about, as "Iron Man 4" will likely be Marvel Studios' focus probably after "Avengers: Infinity War," which is set to release in four long years, hits theaters in 2019.
