iPhone 7 specs, features rumors: Wireless earbuds from Apple and Beats coming soon?

Most have probably heard about that plan about iPhone 7 debuting without the 3.5-millimeter jack which is normally used to connect standard earphones or headphones.

The move was rumored to be made to help Apple come out with a thinner iPhone variant and that folks may eventually have to use either an accessory that could be plugged into the lightning port or via Bluetooth.

Of the two, Bluetooth earphones/ headphones are available in the market while the ones using the lightning port is a big question mark.

There are some who are against the removal of the 3.5-millimeter jack and it remains to be seen if Apple will even listen to their opposition. With the release of the iPhone 7 still about eight months away (more or less), anything is still possible.

But this latest bit involving Apple and Beats Electronics could be a stunner for the ones who are not too keen on seeing the 3.5-millimeter jack taken out.

9 to 5 Mac reveals that the two are in close collaboration which could hint at the possible launch of wireless earbuds alongside the impending release of the iPhone 7.

GSM Arena speculates that this could likely be called the "Airpods," a trademark that Apple has already registered. These wireless earbuds will also include microphones and they will allegedly come with no ports but just with built-in batteries.

Would they come alongside the iPhone 7 when the next variant does come out? Even though nothing is certain at this point, they could be offered separately. This means folks who need or want handy earphones to use with their iPhone may have to shell out additional cash for it.

So the question now is how much? Would it be cheaper or more expensive than the ones available in the market?

To date, there are two wireless earphones that come to mind. One is from Earin which retails for about $230. The cheapest so far is the Moto Hint which costs $130 a pop. Apple and Beats could price it somewhere along that price range, although people are, of course, hoping it would not be too hard on the pocket.
