Apple may have finally ramped up the random access memory (RAM) part of their devices with reports that developer Hamza Sood, with the aid of an iOS simulator called Xcode, has showed that the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, and the iPad Pro are now equipped with added RAM.
With most Apple devices running on 1 GB of RAM until now, the iPhone variants will reportedly now come with 2 GB of RAM while the iPad Pro will have a bumped up RAM of 4 GB.
This development should be welcome news for Apple device owners, particularly the ones who are looking for better and smoother performance for their devices.
The move somehow answers years of questions on why Apple has limited itself to 1 GB of RAM despite the fact that its rival Android devices have upped their RAM count by about two or three times of what they used to offer.
Although the low RAM has been hardly something to complain about, there are instances when Apple product owners experience the need for added RAM for better mobile device performance.

The original iPhone came packed with only 128 MB of RAM and it was only with the iPhone 5 that Apple bumped up the RAM to 1 GB. That RAM count was carried on for the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 6/ 6 Plus. Up for confirmation though is on whether or not Apple is already using the LPDDR4 specs.
The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus used the LPDDR3, something that makes the memory slightly faster.
The iPad Pro's RAM bump could, on the other hand, signal that Apple is anticipating heavy and multitasking use for the said tablet.
