After the recent release of the new iPhones, a lot of Apple enthusiasts have already shifted their focus to the Cupertino-based tech giant's other products. With this, it can be noted that a lot of fans are disappointed about the lack of updates for some devices, such as the iPad Mini 5. However, there are some rumors saying that the new iPad Mini will be launched sometime next year, most likely in March.

According to Game N Guide, while Apple has not provided any confirmation just yet, there are some reports online saying that the device is delayed and the reason for this is that the company has opted to use an A10 processor instead of the current A9 chipset they were using. Furthermore, there are rumors saying that as a result of the decision, the tablet will have remarkable specs under the hood as well as features that can be comparable to the new iPhone 7.

The powerful A10 processor will be paired up with 2 GB worth of RAM, and if the rumors turn out to be true, Apple might just incorporate a 3D Touch pressure-sensitive display for the iPad Mini 5. As fans can remember, the feature has only been recently released with the iPhone 7. Other features to be added for the device include a brand new audio port since Apple has decided to drop the standard 3.5mm jack, as well as a touch-sensitive switch.

The Christian Post also reported that the iPad Mini 5 will also have a reduced battery life in order to pave the way for a smaller, more portable device. However, to make up for this change, the device utilized quick charge technology comparable to the one Qualcomm devices use. As for storage, it will have three variants. Technophiles can choose from three variants: 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB.

Lastly, the iPad Mini 5 might have a base price of $450.
