As ABC's "How to Get Away with Murder" season 3 nears its midseason finale, the show also inches closer to the reveal of the person who perished in the fire at Annalise Keating's (Viola Davis) house at the beginning of the season.

For several weeks now, fans of the show have been waiting with bated breath as the show ruled out one character after the other and yet, there are still some characters who are not in the clear. Cast members have teased that when the revelation finally happens, it will be a major shocker.

Karla Souza — who plays Laurel in the show — said that the character death is such a major development for the show but a heartbreaking one for fans.

"You are going to scream at the TV, possibly break it. It is heartbreaking, and that's how we reacted when we found out. Plot-wise, it's great ... But we're such a tight family and just to have any of us not be there anymore is so sad," she said.

So far, Oliver (Conrad Ricamora), Bonnie (Liza Weil), Laurel, Asher (Matt McGorry), and Michaela (Aja Naomi King) have been ruled out of the running.

Meanwhile, the synopsis for episode 7 — entitled "Call it Mother's Intuition"  — has just been released and promises further complications to arise after Frank (Charlie Weber) framed Mahoney's (Adam Arkin) son as a suspect in his father's murder to clear Wes (Alfred Enoch) from the investigation.

"Annalise and her students take on a case defending siblings who have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder against their mother. Meanwhile, Frank's actions lead to a painful consequence," the synopsis read.

Much insight is also in store for Michaela as the series gears to explore her backstory in future episodes.

"It's going to give us a better understanding of what Michaela was talking about [with that comment] and why she admires Annalise so much," King told TVLine.
