The Kings said that they are not looking for something excessive in exchange of Gay, so regardless of the above-mentioned risks, it is still easier to have a trade deal accomplished between the two teams. After all, in normal circumstances it would take them a few key pieces from their own just to acquire this prestigiously veteran forward.
Regardless, Rudy Gay can be one hell of an addition to the Houston Rockets if the trade will be enacted. He can be a good replacement for the former All-star center Dwight Howard, as he is a second best option in terms of offense. The reason for this is that Harden, regardless of whether or not Gay will move, will still reign as the top scorer for the team.
With him on the team, though, Gay's potential arrival is not only to help augment the team's offensive efforts but also advance the franchise's goal of surrounding "The Beard" with talent.
