Houston Rockets rumors: Ty Lawson may have just gotten himself more trouble

Ty Lawson continues with his controversial ways and his latest Instagram post is likely to get him into more controversy than good.

Lawson hasn't exactly been playing well, which is a reason why he has lost his starting position to old hand Patrick Beverly. Lawson was acquired by the Rockets to address its point guard shortage, and there were high hopes that he would do more than fill up that void.

Lawson is, of course, a big name who flourished when he was still in Denver. Off court issues (DUI) have brought a dark cloud over his career and some of it seems to have affected his play on the court.

The Rockets already have a lot of things to deal with for the current season and Lawson's Instagram post hinting at more playing time will not help.

Though Lawson did take down that post, which had the caption "Let a dude ball out," critics feel it had to do with his diminished playing time. The post is still up via his Facebook page.

With the post, there are some who are now wondering if Lawson took it down voluntarily or because someone from the Rockets organization told him to do so. Either way, the uncanny post is seen as something that will work against the 28-year-old guard.

Despite saying that they are sticking it out with Lawson, the Rockets could be humming a different tune after that Instagram rant. Lawson's handlers continue to search for teams which could be interested in Lawson, though nothing essential has been reported thus far.

With that said, Lawson will continue to don the Rockets jersey, though the issue of playing time may not change at all. He is reportedly down with a sore ankle, though his latest tirade could add more color to that.

When interim head coach was thrown a question involving his playing time, all he had to say was, "We'll see," according to CBS Sports.
