Houston Rockets 2015 rumors: Team to grant Markieff Morris' wish?

Are the Houston Rockets finished picking up the players for next season? Well if not, here is one they may want to look into — Markieff Morris.

Morris has reiterated that he wants no part in the Phoenix Suns' campaign this coming season but it seems that nothing has materialized. He has expressed interest in two teams because he wants to play alongside two players.

One is the Toronto Raptors where he can play alongside Kyle Lowry and the other being the Rockets because of James Harden. A previous post  provides some possible scenarios for this.

The next question is on whether or not the Rockets would be interested. Knowing Daryl Morey, he may possibly be. But to acquire Morris, he would have to give up some asset/s and the first name that comes into mind could be Terrence Jones.

Morris wants out of the Suns after the team traded his twin brother Marcus to the Detroit Pistons. Apparently, he and his brother agreed to a pay cut provided that they play on the same team. That agreement has been, of course, breached and from the looks of it, not even a jacked up salary could stop him from changing his mind.

The Rockets could be a good destination for Morris, especially with the departure of Josh Smith. Compared to Jones, Morris is believed to be the better choice.

But if the Rockets want him, they may have to pull the strings fast. There are other teams that could use Morris and as in the free agency period, the first team to come up with a suitable deal with the Suns are likely to win his services.

Aside from the Rockets and Raptors, other teams that are reportedly interested in Morris include the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics. So who could possibly be the first to snag Morris from the Suns?
